When is the Take Me to the River Festival? Where is it?
You’ve probably been wondering: When is Take Me to the River Festival? The Take Me to the River Festival is a one-day event happening on Saturday, August 23, 2025. The free event will be held from 4 pm to 10 pm. The festival will take place at Tom Norton City Pier in Fall River. Parking options are available surrounding the pier including at the Narrow Center Parking Lot, Ferry Street Parking Lot, and MBTA Station Lot. You can use public transportation like a water taxi or trolley to travel to the festival or drive your car to any of the paid parking lots.
Take Me to the River Lineup
Take Me to the River is all about the music. You’ll enjoy a free concert with featured performances by award-winning artists. The acts we are most excited about include:
- Ruthie Foster-The Grammy Award winner singer and songwriter is an act that you don’t want to miss. She’ll bring plenty of soul to the festival with a music catalog that includes a mix of genres such as folk, jazz, blues, and gospel. Her hits include “Phenomenal Woman,” “Brand New Day,” and “Ring of Fire.”
- Ryan Montbleau Band-The veteran artist has been a part of the folk rock music scene for decades. He has a cult following with his top songs including “All or Nothing,” “75 and Sunny,” and “Ankles.”
- Eddie 9V-Eddie 9V is considered one of the best emerging blues artists in the south. His soulful voice has a retro feel, and he’s expected to sing hits from his most recent album, “Saratoga.”
Food and Art
Music is just one part of the Take Me to the River Festival. Come hungry because you’ll find a variety of food trucks to choose from to keep you full throughout the show. Our local vendors will be serving up festival food and craft beer.
There will be an arts and craft vendor marketplace at the festival too. You can find original photographs, custom wood pieces, handmade jewelry, pottery, and much more.
What to Bring
You’ll need cash for parking, although there’s a free shuttle trolley service available on that day to get to and from the pier. You can also arrive by boat and tie up at the new docks located at the pier.
If you’re attending, you’re also encouraged to bring your own lawn chair or blanket for seating.
